FAQs
Liability Insurance
A special event liability insurance policy is required and the Certificate of Insurance (COI) must be provided at least seven (7) days prior to your event date. See the section 3 of the Sample Rental Agreement for more details.
You may use the insurance company of your choice, but the protections must be the same as highlighted on the sample COI.
Alternatively, you can use our recommended provider, EventHelper. Clicking the link will take you to our dedicated service page which has many details pre-filled for you.
Why do you charge a cleaning fee?
A $125 non-negotiable professional cleaning and sanitizing fee will be charged with every rental. This ensures all event spaces, including the floors, kitchen, and bathrooms, are cleaned and ready for the next client, as it will be for your event.
Why spend your final hours of rental time cleaning when you could be enjoying the event you've paid for? We handle the heavy lifting so your event doesn't have to end early. Don't leave your tired friends and family with a checklist at nine p.m., let them enjoy the party to the very last minute while we take care of the rest.
This fee is on par with other venues and refundable until the day of your event.
Entry and Exit Times
You will have access to the venue according to the times listed on your booking/contract. If you need early entry, this can be added for a fee. If you vacate the property later than the time allotted, there will be an additional fee of $50 per hour. This will be invoiced separately from your initial booking.
Serving Alcohol
Alcohol may be served (e.g., free/open bar) as long as there is no money involved in your event, such as entrance fees, auctions, or bar fees. This requires a Certificate of Insurance (COI) with specific alcohol endorsement.
Alcohol may be sold (e.g., cash bar) with a sales permit and COI with specific alcohol endorsement.
For your protection, we suggest using a licensed and insured bartender.
Decorations
Use of tape, staples, thumbtacks, command strips, etc., to adhere decorations to walls, ceilings, and furniture is strictly prohibited.
Use will result in forfeiture of the $300 damage deposit.
Vendors
The renter may select vendors of their choice, though they must be preapproved by the Venue prior to your event. We recommend you only select licensed vendors for your event.
Tables and Chairs
We provide 16 six-foot rectangle tables, 50 banquet chairs, and 90 metal folding chairs with the cost of the rental. There are dedicated buffet tables for use as well. Additional or alternative tables/chairs may be brought in a vendor.
The banquet chairs cannot be used outside. Using the banquet chairs outside will result in forfeiture of the $300 damage deposit.
Caterer's Kitchen
The caterer's kitchen includes a prep area, ice machine, and double-commercial cooler. There is no range and cooking is not allowed on the premises. We have some banquet warmers and slow cookers available for use during your rental.
Open Flames
Insurance disallows open flames of any kind on the premises, this includes candles, oil lamps, sparklers and fireworks, tiki torches, firepits, and cooking appliances (e.g., camping stoves, grills, etc.). The only exception is Sterno cans used with banquet warmers. If your licensed and insured caterer requires an exception, please contact us.
Small Appliances
Small household appliances (e.g., microwaves, coffee makers, irons, and sewing machines) are permitted for use within the venue. However, no open flames are allowed at any time. All equipment must be in good working order and plugged directly into designated outlets (no power strips for these items).
